Welcome to the Tolkien Books Database

This site presents the early stages of a database modelling book editions, cover art, impressions, and publication history. It renders the bibliographical data being prepared as part of the Tolkien Linked Open Data Project.

The underlying machine-actionable data will be made available on GitHub shortly.

At present, only UK publications are included and most of the information for The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The History of Middle-earth still needs to be entered.

The site is very much in-progress and subject to change. Feedback welcome.
