Impressions

NOTE: Not filed with the Signature Paperbacks, though it borrows their look: Tolkien’s signature in white, a serif-caps title, a dark ground. Three things differ. The series puts the signature hard at the top of the cover, where this sets it half way down with tengwar running above it; the series takes its title in gold, this in the accent red; and the series stands a single contained device on a plain field, where this runs a spiral of tengwar across the whole cover. Close enough to be taken for the line, different enough to be left out of it.
