QUESTION: What is the Griffin Press copy? velmeran records a first impression of this cover printed in Australia and priced at nothing, which cannot belong here: impressions 1 to 28 are the 1996 edition, in a quite different cover. An Australian issue numbering itself from one would explain it. The row is set aside in the file until something does.

QUESTION: Did this cover reach the last impressions of the 1996 edition? velmeran records it on a twenty-sixth, which would fall inside that edition's run of 28, and tolkienbooks.net calls those 28 “all similar”. If he is right, the twenty-sixth belongs to a printing of its own under the 1996 edition rather than to this run, which begins at 30 where tbn's own copy is. His row is set aside in the file until a copy of a twenty-sixth says which cover it wears.
